In England, pubs and restaurants can open from 4th July with social distancing measures.
In Scotland, beer gardens and outdoor restaurants will be allowed to reopen from 6 July.
In Northern Ireland, pubs and restaurants can open from 3 July.

G5Zone Outdoor WiFi can provide a GDPR ready guest registration system for contact tracing per government guidelines.

COVID-19 Test & Trace Add on
Plans are being put in place for customers in England to be asked to register in advance or check in as they arrive at pubs and restaurants to aid the re-opening of the hospitality sector. The register is to include the date and time of a guests entry as well as their full name, address, phone number and email address. With G5Zone Outdoor WiFi there is an option to include this SMS voucher system. The SMS voucher system allows for user to continue onto the network quickly and safely as follows:
- Step 1 – WiFi registration requests all required data from guest.
- Step 2 – SMS is sent to guest
- Step 3 – Guest shows voucher to server to prove they have registered.
To comply with data protection rules all data is set to automatically deleted after 21 days. This feature can also be used to ask customers about their marketing preferences so is a great tool to grow your audience. We also offer a similar service Social WiFi.
